Chapter 13

Seasons & the Season Pass

A season runs 30 days, themed to one of ANIMINT's universes, and drives two independent reward systems on top of a single running total: Season XP. The Season Pass is a level ladder you climb by playing; the season standings are a one-time payout based on your final rank when the season ends.

Season XP

You earn Season XP passively from expeditions (a flat rate per hour off the Experience gear) and from Manual hunting (a small guaranteed amount per tap, plus a chance of bonus XP). It accrues on a per-season counter that resets to zero when the season ends — a separate number from your `lifetime_xp`, which never resets, and separate again from Total Power, which drives the Global/Monthly leaderboards in Chapter 10.

Not the same leaderboard
Season XP has its own live ranking, distinct from the Total Power boards. A brand-new player can genuinely contend for a season — Total Power is cumulative and would hand every season to whoever started first.

The pass: free & premium tracks

The pass has 50 levels. Every level pays out on both tracks — free rewards scale with your level alone; premium rewards are richer and add tickets and Primordial cards at the top of the ladder.

Free50 + 10 × level+1 every 5th level
Premium150 + 25 × level+2 every 3rd level1 Ticket at level 50 · a Primordial card at levels 30, 40 and 50

Cumulative XP required to reach level n follows 20 × (n−1)² + 60 × (n−1) — roughly 2,160 XP for level 10, 12,960 for level 25, and 50,960 for the full level 50. That's tuned so a committed free player lands around level 40 in a season, and a dedicated Pro player can clear the whole ladder.

How you unlock the premium track

  • Hold an active Animint Pro subscription at any point during the season — it latches on for the rest of the season even if the sub later lapses.
  • Or buy the Season Pass outright as a one-time purchase, priced at 3× the monthly Pro price. That's deliberately pricier than a month of Pro, so subscribing stays the better deal, but it still gives non-subscribers a way in — and it retroactively unlocks every premium level you've already reached.

End-of-season standings

Separately from the pass, when a season ends every ranked player is paid out once based on final Season XP rank. This is the other route to a Primordial card.
