Chapter 01

How to Play

ANIMINT is an anime-collectible universe. You send out expeditions to discover collectible cards, complete sets in your Collection, melt your spare duplicates into crafting shards to forge new cards, trade with other collectors, and climb the leaderboards. You never need to spend money to play — the paid layer is optional convenience and prestige.

What ANIMINT is

Think of it as a digital trading-card game crossed with a gentle idle game. The cards are the whole point: each one has a rarity, a look, and a place in your collection. Some cards are official; some are animated pixel-art pieces made by community creators. Your job is to discover them, keep the best, and turn the rest into something useful.

Nothing here is gambling for money
Everything you buy is a digital, in-app entitlement. There is no cash-out and no withdrawal, and cards hold no real-world monetary value. Tickets buy access and attempts — never a guaranteed rarity.

The core loop

Almost everything in ANIMINT feeds one compounding loop. Learn this and the rest of the game makes sense: explore to find cards and berries, reinvest berries to explore better, and watch rarer finds raise your score and rank.

The loop
Explore
Run expeditions
Collect
Cards + berries
Reinvest
Upgrades + Forge
Rank up
Score climbs
Explore → Collect → Reinvest → Repeat. Expeditions earn cards and berries; berries fund upgrades and the Forge; better gear finds rarer cards; rarer cards lift your collection score and rank — which motivates the next run.

Your first ten minutes

  1. 1Sign in with Google from the home page — no separate password to manage.
  2. 2Pick a collector handle. This is your public name on profiles and leaderboards, so choose well.
  3. 3Land on HQ (your home dashboard) and claim your daily reward — free berries, every day.
  4. 4Open Expeditions and launch your free expedition. It runs on its own for a short while.
  5. 5Come back when it finishes and collect the haul. Watch the reveal — rarer cards get a bigger payoff.
  6. 6Open your Collection to see what you found and what's still missing.
  7. 7Got duplicates already? Visit the Forge to melt spares into shards.
Two free habits that compound
Never leave a finished expedition uncollected, and claim your daily reward every day to keep your streak alive. Both are pure free progress and take seconds.
Two ways to hunt
Hunting comes in two flavors. The Expedition is idle — launch it and walk away. The Manual tab is active — tap ‘Hunt now’ to pull cards on a 15-second timer and build an effort streak. New players can lean on idle runs; reach for Manual when you want to actively grind. Chapter 5 covers both in depth.

The map: where everything lives
