Chapter 04

Rarities

Rarity is ANIMINT's core language. Every card sits on a five-tier ladder, with two special classes — time-limited Limited drops and community-made Creator cards — ranking above the standard top tier.

Rarity is three layers, never just colour

A tier is signalled three ways at once, so it reads even for colour-blind players or at a glance:

  • Frame & border colour identify the tier instantly.
  • Glow intensity scales with rarity on hover and at reveal.
  • Reveal motion gets richer the rarer the card — Mythic and Creator get the biggest burst.

Limited — time-boxed drops

Limited cards are special, supply-capped mints that only appear during a drop window, and only from active manual hunting. They wear a distinct cyan frame and rank just beneath Creator — rarer than Mythic. Once a drop's supply is minted, that's it.

Creator — the premium class

Creator cards are animated pixel-art pieces submitted by Animint Pro members and approved by moderators. They always carry a gold, animated frame and a Creator badge, and they enter the same Collection and rarity system as official art. Chapter 12 covers how they're made.

Legacy tiers
Very old accounts may still hold cards tagged 'Uncommon' (a retired tier) or 'Custom' (the old name for Creator). The game keeps rendering them correctly, but no new ones are made.
