Chapter 08

The Economy: Berries, Shards & Tickets

ANIMINT runs on three deliberately separate resources. Keeping them distinct is what keeps the game fair: the only thing real money touches is access, never card rarity.

Berries — the soft currency

Berries are your everyday currency, shown in gold in the header. You earn them by playing — selling spare cards (each sells for its rarity's score value), claiming daily rewards (doubled for Pro), and receiving gifts. You spend them on expedition upgrades, paid runtime, and buying tickets from other collectors.

Reinvest early
Compounding growth beats a big idle pile. Pour early berries into upgrades, and keep rare duplicates for melting into shards rather than selling them cheap.

Shards — the crafting currency

Shards exist only to power the Forge. They have no other use and can't be traded — they're the reward for turning your duplicates into agency. See Chapter 7 for yields and costs.

Tickets — the premium resource

Tickets are scarce and tradable, which gives them real market value. Buy them with money through the secure checkout, or from other players on the Marketplace. A ticket redeems for 30 days of Animint Pro, can be gifted, or can be traded for berries.

Access, never odds
Tickets buy access and attempts — never a guaranteed rarity. ANIMINT deliberately keeps cards out of any real-money market.
