Berries
Berries are the soft currency that powers ANIMINT — earned by playing, spent on upgrades and expeditions.
Berries are your everyday currency. You earn them by playing and spend them to grow faster. They are shown in the balance bar at the top of every page.
Berries are not shards. Shards are a separate crafting currency used only in the Forge — you can't buy or sell shards, you melt duplicates for them. See the Shards guide.
How you earn berries
- ▸Selling collectibles you don't need — each sells for its own score value, so rarer collectibles are worth far more berries.
- ▸Daily rewards — bigger with a longer streak, doubled for Animint Pro.
- ▸Expeditions — discover collectibles, then sell the surplus for berries.
- ▸Player trades — receive berries from other collectors.
Sell value scales with rarity
There is no flat sell price. When you sell a collectible you get berries equal to its score value, and score climbs steeply with rarity — so a single high-tier piece can be worth dozens of Commons.
| Rarity | Berries per copy |
|---|---|
| Common | 10 |
| Rare | 30 |
| Epic | 80 |
| Legendary | 220 |
| Mythic | 660 |
How you spend berries
- ▸Expedition upgrades: Scouts, Range, Relay, and Efficiency.
- ▸Running paid expeditions (a berry cost per hour of runtime).
- ▸Buying tickets from other collectors on the Ticket Exchange.
Early on, reinvest berries into upgrades rather than hoarding — compounding growth beats a big idle pile. Keep rare duplicates for melting into shards rather than selling them cheap.
